Building Strength Without Bulk

If you want to build strength for a fitter, healthier and more proportionate body without adding on bulk, you can do this by applying some effective exercise modifications to your workout routine and also by changing around these daily sessions and sets. In this article we will tell you some tips about how you can make your muscles strong without getting overly large muscles.

If you want to only increase your strength, then you need to properly focus on the lower rep range; this will provide you added muscle power and that allows you to lift more weight, so you get faster results.

Suppose, you were a hockey player and were in training – you’d naturally want to expend a bigger portion perfecting your game skills, right? Similarly,  a more powerful and fit body, then you need to focus on building power by devoting a large percentage of your time on lifting weights that are as heavy as you can comfortably manage. Eight to twelve reps are enough in the exercise period suggested for advanced levels of working out. This will give you confidence to achieve your health target and also improve muscle toning besides giving them strength.

Another essential requirement of increasing your muscle strength without altering your shape (read piling on mass) is controlling intake of daily calorific count; i.e. this means taking in no extra calories as supplying your body with surplus nutrients will cause this new muscle tissue you pack on during strength training, to gain mass.

If the problem of surplus calories isn’t there to deal with, your body will be better prepared to resist bulking up while repairing and growing muscle tissues during intense training sessions. It is not important what you do in the fitness center; you need to lessen your whole calorie intake. If you intake calories under control you can gain muscle strength without bulk mass consequently.

Otherwise, intake less calories daily if you do not want to gain body weight, as this may be harder to gain strength, but you can gain better fitness results by maintaining calories intake. With just controlling a hundred or so extra calories a day you can considerably reduce chances of any weight gain, build strength and also become aware of total well being.
