A Halloween party has to be loaded with lots of yummy snacks and food, but you also need something to wash down all the yum food with. If you’re having an alcohol-free party, here are a few non-alcoholic drinks that’ll make your head spin even without the alcoholic fizz.

This is a fruit punch which looks scary owing to the eerie colour combination. To add the Halloween twist, prepare a frozen hand and let it float in the punch bowl.

What You Need

Unsweetened grape soft drink mix, unsweetened orange soft drink mix, 2 cups of white sugar, cold water and ginger ale.

Get Mixing

In a large punch bowl, stir together equal amounts of grape soft drink mix and orange soft drink mix. Add sugar and water until the mix solids have dissolved completely. Combine with chilled ginger ale. To add a spooky touch, float an ice hand in the punch bowl. To prepare an ice hand, fill a rubber glove with water. Seal the open end of the glove with an rubber band. Chill it till the water turns into ice.

Smashed Ladybug and Fresh Bug Juice

The ladybugs are nothing but luscious strawberries and fresh bugs are raisins and blueberries. This fruity drink is perfect for kids and teenagers alike.

What You Need

20 oz fresh strawberries, 5 oz lemonade concentrate, 1 quart Ginger ale, ½ cups raisins, ½ cup blueberries.




Get Mixing

Mash the strawberries with a fork and put into a large pitcher. Add the lemonade and ginger ale. Take tall glasses and put a few raisins and blueberries into each glass. In case you cannot lay hands on blueberries you can use some cherries or grapes instead. Fill each glass with the strawberry mix. Serve chilled.

The Soup From the Cauldron

This is a green coloured drink that is perfect to resemble the soup from a wicked witch’s cauldron. Serve the soup in a large pot decorated with a hand-made witch’s hat to add that extra “chill”.

What You Need

3 oz lime flavoured gelatin mix, Pineapple juice, hot water, concentrated orange juice, white sugar, cold water, ginger ale.

Get Mixing

Take the gelatin and put it in a saucepan. Pour hot water so that the gelatin dissolves. Keep the mixture aside to cool. When the gelatin mixture has cooled down to room temperature, transfer it to a big pot. Add pineapple juice, orange juice, sugar and cold water. Adjust the quantities according to your taste, for e.g. if you want a more orangey taste you may increase the orange juice. Pour in the ginger ale just before serving.

Trick-or-Treat Halloween Drink

Who says Halloween drinks have to be scary? Here is a sweet side of Halloween that will surely appeal to all taste buds.

What You Need

2 tablespoons of butterscotch topping, 1 cup club soda, 1 cup cream soda, 3 tablespoons of freshly whipped cream, 3 tablespoons of caramel sauce, a pinch of salt.

Get Mixing

Put a bowl into the freezer and let it chill for 15 minutes. Combine the butterscotch topping and the soda in the chilled bowl. Stir well and add the cream soda. In a different bowl mix together the whipped cream, salt and caramel sauce. Make sure you do not stir too vigorously else you’ll lose the air bubble sin the cream. Put this on top of the soda mixture and stir gently. You’ll notice a bit of frothing. Pour this into small glasses and serve immediately.
