Snorkeling is an adventurous and thrilling way to explore the underwater world. You can go and surround yourself with the diverse, beautiful and colourful aquatic life in calm and shallow reefs or go deep in the tropical waters. Listed below are some of the best sites for snorkeling:
· Australia
Australia has a1250 mile long barrier reef which is the best site for snorkeling. Apart from the Great Barrier Reef, you can enjoy snorkeling in the The Houtman Abrolhos and Ningaloo Reef. You can stay on top of Heron Island and enjoy the beautiful spectacle in water just near the steps. You can catch green sea turtles, nudibranchs, spotted eagle rays and mantra rays. The southernmost coral reef in the world, the The Houtman Abrolhos, offers another great snorkeling site in Australia. At Ningaloo Reef, you can also catch the white sharks.
· Fiji
At the famous Jean-Michel Cousteau Resort, you can enjoy snorkeling under the expert guidance of an onsite biologist. You can spot theclownfish, giant tridacna clams and soft coral covered reefs.
· Hawaii

The Bocas del Toro is a group of islands which can be reached by water taxi and you can easily get hold of snorkel gear. This makes it an ideal place to snorkel and enjoy the marine life. You can spot the nesting sea turtles on beaches in Bastimentos National Park.
