World Famous Celebrity Tatoos

The trend of body tattoos has gained in popularity since the 1990’s spreading the world over, and more so as more and more celebrities get themselves inked, either to make a statement or for decorating their bodies with this art form. Tattoos have a rich and colourful history, nowhere better illustrated than by the extraordinary number of historical figures and modern day celebrities sporting body art. Some of the sexiest women including celebrities, have had themselves tattooed, proudly displaying the most fabulous collection of this body form of body decoration, prompting others to get themselves similarly tatooed.
Certainly, Angelina Jolie is the most popular tattooed celebrity in the world. A dozen or so exotic tattoos reflect her ‘woman with an edge’ personality, single-handedly making the tribal dragon a popular tattoo amongst women.
Not at all shy about showing off her unique tattoos, Nicole Richie has a pair of wings on her back, ‘Virgen’ on her inner wrist, a gorgeous chain and cross on her foot, including a tattooed pair of ballerina shoes inspired by a song her dad, Lionel Richie, wrote for her.
Victoria Beckham, former Posh Spice of the Spice Girl has five stars on her lower back to represent the five members for her family. As well, she has the initials of her famous soccer playing husband inked on her inner wrist, including a Hebrew script message on her upper back.
Drew Barrymore, a free spirit if ever there was one, has acquired many tattoos over the last decade, including an adorable butterfly under her belly button, a blue moon and star on her foot, including a gorgeous angel on her lower back.
Not to be left out Christina Aguilera has covered herself with exoticly sensual tattoos, including Hebrew on her lower back. There is ‘Xtina’ on the back of her neck plus several others inside the bikini area and inner forearm.
Expressing her unique sensuality, Cher’s collection of tattoos include flowers on her bottom, a black orchid on the stomach, a black rose on her ankle and among others the Chinese symbol for strength on her shoulder.
Not to be left behind, the most impressive of Mary Blige’s many tattoos is the long stemmed rose on her thigh.
Of Indian celebrities with tattoos, Rangeela Girl – Urmila Matondkar has one on her shoulder – back top right hand side. While, Sail Ali Khan, Esha Deol, Mallika Aroa and Mandira Bedi have all got themselves inked.
