Few things like theme, the venue, the invitation list, and the expenditure list are required to base the activities upon which you plan for the wedding reception. Your guests would enjoy for sure if some traditionally followed essential elements are included in the party, be it in a farm house, a hotel, a disco or anywhere else.
The warmth of your welcome and a homely feeling is a good idea for the first impression which is always the last one. Small gifts and flowers will blend to a decent greet. Aged guests should be made to sit comfortably. Space should not be congested, for dance, games and for a walk around. A soothing place and fresh environment must be ensured.
Speeches by the father, groom and the best man, should not be ignored as they are a traditional part of such ceremonies, nor they should be extra long, as then boredom will strike. The speeches should be in their respective sequences. The groom should not forget to thank the catalyst of his successful party. The best man speech should reflect the hidden personality of the groom by encompassing the funny personal moments and should be supported by an enlivening tone. Wine and snacks should be enough in the flow to help the ceremony remain warm.
Live violins should be played if the budget allows, if you have a true romantic theme. In a disco venue, replace oxygen with music and boost up the crowd so that people can have a blast on the floor.
Games should be included and that too of a bonding nature, with an innovative mind set. The congruency of your activities should be maintained with the theme you have decided. Crushing wine out of the grapes together in a farmhouse; spotting partners in a masked dance; a fancy dress event, etc can be supportive examples.
The meal arrangement should go hand in hand with the environment. A roof top party would keep its warmth with a barbeque for example. Also, all can sit together and eat traditionally if it is a ballroom party.
The party will definitely be a hit if everything is planned well in advance.
