Dos and Don’ts of Baby-led weaning
It is not recommended to start baby led weaning before your baby is six months old. Babies before six months do not have well developed stomachs for solid foods.
Always make sure that your baby is sitting in an upright position before eating. This will prevent choking.
Avoid giving food that you know can have choking hazards like whole cherry tomatoes.
You must be there every time your baby is eating. Never leave her alone while she is eating.
Allow her to eat at her own pace. Do not force her to eat.
Continue breast feeding on demand. If you bottle-feed your baby, you must discuss baby-led weaning with your doctor before you start it.
Baby-led weaning is surely the best option when it comes to weaning your baby.
