Wedding Ceremony Music

Besides the traditional, here comes the Bride melody, what else comes to mind when you think about wedding ceremony music? For most brides and grooms, choosing the kind of music and specific songs to be sung or played during their ceremony can be a very difficult task.
One of the reasons this can be so difficult for couples to decide is that there seems to be the mindset that each and every detail of the wedding should be attached to a personal and sentimental value exclusive to the couple. The wedding ceremony music is no different. There is the pressure it seems to have a specific song or music playing when the bride and groom vow their love to one another.
Some couples are faced with the challenge of finding the right singer and musician to play their favorite special piece of music. There seems to be that cousin or aunt in everyone’s family that sings or plays a musical instrument, and is somehow expected to be in the wedding. Of course, it is common that the family member is not always the best of singers, and the bride and groom are left to try to find a way around it.
To avoid this problem, some couples opt for playing recorded music on their CD player or audio system. One advantage to playing this music for the wedding ceremony is that you do not have to worry about the person singing and playing the instrument will screw up or sing off key. The disadvantage to having recording music playing during the ceremony is that it is impersonal and lacks the touch and feel of having a person sing it. It seems to take away from the personal meaning and emotion that is felt when someone is singing it in person.
The type of music chosen can also dictate whether you should have a person singing or play the recorded music. Some couples choose to play only instrumental music, and therefore do not require the need for a musician or singer to perform. Another advantage to having recorded music play is that will save the couple money. They will not have to pay the musicians and singers for performing, and to the couple on a budget for their wedding, every little bit helps.
