Wedding Anniversary Love Poem

To be or not to be, that is the question. Right? Well, if that is your best shot at a poem, you better do some research. When it comes to romantic wedding anniversary presents, what says I love you more than a romantic love poem dedicated to your spouse?
Here is the trick, if you are not a poet by nature and the best words you can emit from your pen are ‘roses are red’, you may need to sharpen your rusty old pencil. But even those less adept at the art of writing poetry can find themselves writing the most romantic love poem that they never thought possible.
How? It’s really quite simple. If you stop thinking about it, and stop worrying about writing a love poem, you may be surprised at what can happen. The reason most of us fail at writing poetry and love odes is because we are thinking about it too hard. We often are more concerned with making sure that lines rhyme and that our sentences have enough words in them, but really that is not what a love poem is all about.
The best thing to do is to start out making a list of words that describe how you feel about your loved one. Think about how he or she makes you feel, think about how you life has been enriched by their being a part of it. Think of the day you first fell in love with them, the day you proposed and the day you walked down the aisle together. Once you start out on this train of thought, you will be amazed at the way the words are flowing.
After you make your list, go back and start to form phrases with it, using some of the words from the list and adding other words with it to make sentences. Once you have a few sentences made, try combining a few words, phrases and before you know it you will have a poem. Remember, wedding anniversaries are the one time of the year when we really can express our love for our spouses. Know that your spouse will be so love struck that you wrote them a poem for your wedding anniversary, they will not care if it all rhymes or the sentences all make sense, it is the act of writing a love poem that will make them fall in love all over again.
