Violence in marriages

It is a well known fact that marriages are ending because of the violence in married life. When a partner tortures the other partner physically and mentally, it is termed as violence in marriage. There are several cases in which the wives are been beaten badly by their husbands. However there are some men victims too who are tortured by their wives. Violence in marriages is not new and there are several cases of it in every part of the world. Violence in marriages ranges from sexual violence to physical violence. Physical violence in marriages is related to the physical torture from the partner, which includes excessive beating. This type of violence in marriages are usually faced by wives, they are beaten badly, not given food for several days, are forced to work hard etc. these type of violence sometimes even lead to death. Sexual violence in marriage is the most brutal violence or abuse in a married life. The partner is forced to commit sex. These cases are generally faced by women and they fall prey to the wicked intentions of their husbands. Many times they are also forced to make sexual contacts with her husband friends, which ultimately stress her physically and mentally. This type of violence can sometimes lead to death of the person.
The other type of violence in marriages is psychological violence in marriage. This violence can be faced by any of the partner. In this type of violence the person is tortured mentally. They are badly abused by their partner and are treated like anything. The victims get psychologically depressed because of the acts, threats, activities performed by the partner. Psychological violence also includes threat of murder or harming the children. In many such cases the victim is kept locked in a small room and is not allowed to talk or communicate with any friend or relative.
The violence in marriages generally starts with small conflicts in family or due to ego problems. In some cases it is noted that violence in marriages is because of the desire to control and move the victim according to owns desire. Some cases of violence are also because one of the partners who are creating violence is addicted to some kind of drugs.
