Valentine’s Day comes with a lot of expectations from the girls. The guys find this time tough because this is the time the girl is expecting to be pampered. Some girls even use this time to test the guys’ interest in them. That means more pressure for the guy. But with any great things, there are a lot of myths. Valentine’s Day is no exception. Read on to get some of those myths out of your head.
Valentine’s Day is not necessary
You may pay dearly for this. Even if she realised that Val’s Day is hyped too much, she still desires the things that come with it. She sees her friends go on dates and begin to think you don’t really care. Instead, you can keep the day low-key so that you can celebrate it your own way. You can plan something for only the two of you. You must give thought to what you want to do.
Valentine’s Day must be celebrated only February 14th
This is false. There is no law that it should only be celebrated on that particular day. You can celebrate it any other day. You just have to select a day of the week and plan for it as your Val’s Day. You will enjoy a lot of privacy as the regular places will not be choked with people. What she cares about is that you have her in mind. She might actually appreciate this style.
I will rather save money for a vacation.
Don’t deceive yourself. She might be saving some money too. This is a great chance to score some love points. You don’t have to plan anything expensive; you must just give her a surprise with a thoughtful activity. You can plan a lunch with her where her favourite food is on the menu. She will feel great for the fact that despite your budget you still think about her.
Dinner is the Valentine’s Day staple
This is not true. It is true that dinner is quick to, arrange and most people go for it. But it lacks creativity and originality. Let there be some unconventional things like a massage. You can plan a cocktail of various things.
Don’t let the myths drive you out of the fun that you can have on Valentine’s Day. You can enjoy it your own way.
