Shaving is one of the oldest ways of removing this hair. But here it should be mentioned that this is a temporary solution and the hair grows back after a short while. Why does this happen? It is because the hair on the skin surface is only removed.
The root of the hair remains within the skin. Even though shaving is one of the easiest methods, but unfortunately it promotes hair growth. So every time you shave your underarms, you give the hair a chance to grow faster and even thicker.
Waxing has become more popular over time. It is because this has a long lasting effect. By waxing you are actually removing the hair entirely. This means the root of the hair is removed as well.
This delays the process of hair growth. This can be a bit painful, but eventually you will get used to it. You can get it done at home or you can go to a salon for this. But if you have sensitive skin then it is better to avoid waxing as it can cause skin irritation.
Some might argue about plucking the hair, but that is more painful than waxing. This is time consuming too. In this case you will be plucking individual hairs at a time and that will certainly not feel good. So better avoid this method.
Many women prefer to use hair-removing cream. That is also an easy and effective method of removing hair. All you have to do is apply the cream on the area and then wipe it off with cotton or a soft cloth.
But this does not have the long lasting effect like waxing. Before you go for such cream it is better that you consult a doctor and check the label of the pack to see if you are allergic to any ingredients.
