Treating Arthritis Naturally

Arthritis is a chronic disease caused by excessive toxins accumulating in the joints. It can cause weakness in the digestive system as a result of disturbances in the colon. The undigested food and waste which accumulates allows toxins to get to the joints.
For effective treatment of arthritis, there are a combination of natural remedies such as herbal medicine and yoga. These should be supported by proper diet and exercise. Some of the natural remedies may include:
Ashwagandha
This is an Asian plant related to the potato family. The roots of this plant are used to treat a chronic type of arthritis called rheumatic arthritis.
Ginger root
This is one other natural remedy to cure arthritis. It has been discovered that ginger roots help in the reduction of leukotrienes and prostaglandins responsible inflammation and pain. Powdered ginger has been proven to give relief from pain without any side effects.
Boswellia
Extracts from this plant are also effective natural remedy for curing arthritis. It has the ability to reduce the swelling and pains in the joints. It can also reduce the stiffness in the joints. It improves the supply of blood to the joints and speeds up the formation of cartilage.

Diet
Another important thing in treating arthritis is diet. It has been proven that one cause of arthritis is nutritional deficiencies. Eating a diet rich minerals, vitamins and anti-oxidants will maintain a balance in the body to combat arthritis.

Exercise
This, when done two to three times weekly, will help reduce the pain. Some of these exercises are cycling, mild aerobics, swimming and walking. This will help improve mobility and boost muscle strength.
