Top Ten Secrets Men Never Share
June 21, 2008
You may be past the early stages of a sexual relationship and are getting real close. Probably, you have begun to think it is time to reveal any past or present secrets. Hold on, put on the brakes, stop right there! While, honesty may be the best policy in any relationship, however, you don’t need to share family and personal history with your woman. There are certain men top secrets that should be kept secret. You are not being advocated to lie, but rather to selectively omit information that might not work in your favour. Some of which are as follows:
Don’t tell your girlfriend or wife that your family dislikes even hates her. Telling her will only make her angry and insecure.
You can also forget telling her about your insecurities. She needn’t know you envy your best friend’s looks or his car. Or, for that matter her status, job or salary. Women look for confidence in a man and revealing your petty jealousies and insecurities will only make you look less poised.
Flirt away all you can with other women, but refrain from telling her you do. If, she knows you well, she is already aware of your little secret, what she doesn’t want to hear is all the women you have flirted with.
Scared of spiders? Don’t tell her as the old cliché is true, women do prefer strong men.
Don’t compare an ex-girlfriend to her in bed. Avoid details about past conquests, even if it means telling her she is better than your ex. No woman likes being compared to another, especially in the sexual department.
Does she need to know how often you talk to your mother? No, she could feel intimidated by the fact that you talk to your mother several times a day. She might feel she’s competing with your mother for room in your life, or worse that you are unnaturally dependent on your mother.
Forget giving her the rundown on your uncool hobbies, such as, Faberge eggs or coins, etc.
And, don’t ever tell her you don’t like her girlfriends. Talking badly about them or showing lustful interest in them will only get her mad or to end things with you entirely.
Never tell her shameful things like how you cheated on your ex-girlfriend or visited strip clubs and enjoyed lap dances, especially all the things men lust after.
Last but not least, the worst mistake you can make is to tell her you find one of her friends smoking hot. Often, men lust after their girlfriend’s girlfriend, but even if you tell her in jest, she may laugh but will probably be angry and hurt and may not trust you around her friends.
Be selective in what you reveal to a new girlfriend, try and keep your skeletons in your cupboard. It’s not being untruthful, it’s the only way to keep the relationship going forward and not ending there and then!
