Top 10 Yogasans for Prolapsed uterus

There are many different reasons that people participate in yoga. They use it for meditation, concentration, strengthening and to be all around healthy. One of the health reasons to do yoga is if you have a prolapsed uterus. This simply means that the position of the uterus has changed.

This can be caused by many different reasons. Intense pressure on the stomach area, or if the tissues around the uterus lose their strength, can be causes for this condition. If you have children and gave birth vaginally, this can be a cause, especially if you have had several children naturally. Menopause is another factor as well as asthma or a condition that causes you to have severe coughing.

Another factor is your weight. This can actually put pressure on the pelvic region and weaken the muscles around the uterus. Surgery is another cause. You need to be careful if you lift weights, with the excess pressure that you are lifting and, believe it or not, Caucasian women are more at risk than any other race.

There are several yoga positions that you can do to help reverse the weakening of the muscles. If the damage has gone on for too long and is too severe, your main option would be to have surgery. But, if you have caught this in time, certain yoga positions may be of help to you.

Some of these are the Salamba Sirsasana or a headstand, Viparita Dandasana or the inverted staff pose, Supta Baddhakonasana or reclining fixed apple pose, Supta Virasana or reclining hero pose, Supta Padangusthasana or reclining leg, foot, and toe stretch, Dandasana or staff pose, Urdhavamukha Janu Sirsasana or upward facing bent knee pose, Prasarita Padottanasana or intense leg stretch, Tadasana Samasthithi or steady and firm mountain pose and the Tadasama Urdhava Hastasana or mountain pose with arms stretched up.

Each one of these yoga poses is great this condition. With a little bit of research, you will be able to find the correct posture and procedure for each one. Remember that you need to stretch before doing any of these. If you are unsure how to perform them, you can join a class and learn the proper way.
