Tips for Helping Every Woman to get Fit

fitwomanYou have made the decision to get in shape. You already know that you are going to have to watch your diet and get some exercise. Right now you are motivated and ready to go, but you can’t help but wonder if you are still going to feel the same way in a few days. Here are a few tips that you can use to help you make sure that your new exercise program is a success story.

See a Professional

Before you start to exercise you should consult with a doctor or at the very least a professional trainer and make sure that there aren’t any physical reasons why you should avoid a particular exercise.

Create an Exercise Program

The first thing you need to do is sit down and create a daily exercise program. This means that you have to determine what time of the day you are going to exercise, how long you are going to exercise and where you are going to exercise. Write all of this stuff down and post it where you and your family can see it.

Create Goals

While you are putting together your daily exercise program you should start thinking about your short and long term fitness goals. Make sure that they are realistic goals. In addition to posting these goals in a prominent place on your refrigerator, you should also keep a copy of your goals in your exercise bag.

Weight Training

Make sure you include some weight training and multi-joint exercises into your exercise program. These exercises will tone your body, increase your metabolism and help you lose weight.

Add Some Variety

When you are exercising you need to make sure that you gradually increase the intensity of your workout. You also want to make sure that you do a variety of exercises, so you can be sure that you are fittening your entire body.

Buddy Up

Motivation is the key to getting and staying fit. One of the best ways to make sure that you stay motivated is to have a good friend exercise with you. You’ll have more fun and can encourage on another when it feels like you’ve hit a plateau.
