There is a relation between Viagra and sexual infections in older men

Wellington – In the recent studies it has been established by British doctors the raise in sexually transmitted diseases (STD) among older men who use Viagra, is because it fuels extramarital affairs.
As per the information given by British health informers, rates of sexual infections like gonorrhea more than three times in men lying between age group of 45 to 64 years and 4 times increase amid teenagers.
The number of Chlamydia cases has also experienced an important increase of 315 % between 1997 and 2006.
Though the sex drug may boost male’s presentation but it is also putting them at an increased risk of contracting STDs (sexually transmitted diseases).
John Dean, president, International Society for Sexual Medicine said that the drug was giving men greater freedom to engage in sexual activity with more partners.
MenzMedical Christchurch director Dr Rob Williams said older men using Viagra occasionally came to the clinic to get checked for sexual transmitted diseases (STD) after having extramarital affairs.
“It’s the guilt mostly that brings them in here,” Williams said.
He said that the older men typically at risk were those often swapping sexual partners or using prostitutes.
