Ties for the Plain shirts: You have to be more careful for selecting the tie for the plain colored shirts. If you are wearing a plain light blue colored shirt and you are confused while selecting a tie for it, you need not to worry much about it as there are several option available by which you can use the burgundy, red, yellow, navy blue or gold colored tie on it. These ties can match also match with pink colored shirt and French blue colored shirts.
Ties for the stripped shirts: The common pattern used for the stripped plain shirts are the pin or polka dot patterned, box pattern etc. The other patterns used instead of these patterns are the paisley pattern which provides a novel look to the person wearing it. The other option you are having is that select a tie having the stripes in the opposite direction of your shirt.
Ties for checkered shirts: For the checkered shirts you have to apply the same rule of the striped shirts because if you use the tie of same pattern of the shirt then the tie‘s pattern will collide with the shirt’s pattern. For the checkered shirts you can also use the dotted ties. It is your duty to select the tie which should match your shirt.
