Honey with its countless head to toe benefits doesn’t deserve to be labelled as old fashioned food … a natural sweetener, honey is a truly wonderful food and a precious factor between health and beauty.

In the first century BC, Hippocrates, the father of modern medicine realised the healing powers of honey and regularly prescribed it for his patients suffering from conditions, such as, skin disorders, sores, ulcers, respiratory ailments and fever.  Roman physicians were also in the habit of prescribing honey to patients who had trouble falling asleep and even today, a glass of warm milk sweetened with honey helps ensure a restful night.  In addition, many adult diseases can also be cured with a mixture of honey and cinnamon.

Make a paste by mixing one part honey, one small teaspoon cinnamon powder to two parts warm water and rub on to the afflicted body joints, massaging it in well.  Within a minute or two, you will feel the results, as feel relief due to the pain diminishing.  As well, a cup of hot water with two spoonfuls of honey and one spoonful of cinnamon powder taken morning and night is said to cure chronic arthritis if taken regularly.

Honey Cure For Indigestion
Sprinkle two tablespoons of honey with cinnamon powder and take it before a meal.  It relieves acidity and helps digest the heaviest of meals.



Honey For Cancer, Cholesterol And Heart Disease
A paste of honey and cinnamon powder spread on to bread instead of jam and eaten regularly reduces cholesterol and can prevent heart attacks.  Research has revealed that advanced cancer of the stomach and bones can be alleviated if a mixture of one tablespoon of honey and one teaspoon of cinnamon powder is taken three times a day for three months.

The medicinal value of honey is seen to be increasing day after day.  More and more researchers are now turning up evidence that honey can be trusted as a real healer of lifestyle diseases.  And, the best part is that the healing is completely natural.  So, if you want to stay healthy, why not eat honey on a regular basis.  In fact, if you have a garden, why not grow a bee hive and produce your own honey!
