Your excitement would surly rise high in the final weeks of pregnancy. This is the time when you are in final stretch, thus you require much care and concern. So, here are some guidelines to cope up with very last weeks of your pregnancy.
Till this stage every woman gives up her patience and wants to be a mother soon. Women loose their stamina and want to have their baby in hands. Pregnant women feel unwieldy and very uncomfortable in last weeks of pregnancy. They become very desperate in order to meet their little angel whom they are feeling and nurturing for several months.
As per one survey it comes to light that only 3% of babies arrived on due date. As first baby usually arrive late then the due date, so do not focus on due date. There may be possibility of early arrival of your baby too. In addition, you may feel frustrated if your due date passes by without any sign of action.
What to do in the final weeks of pregnancy?
From 36 week onwards, you may probably experience some contractions commonly known as Braxton Hicks. You may mistake these contractions for labour. If you feel them in close duration of time and for quite longer then immediately call to your midwife. At this time, try to concentrate over your labour breathing exercise. Keep away from stepladder and ask your spouse to do heavy lifting and any climbing from now on.
You can also divert your attention towards packing bags for hospital. Remember to keep you digital camera, charge its batteries and empty its memory card so that you would have enough room for the lovely pics of young one. Put a couple of front opening nightdresses just to have comfort while feeding your newborn. The dress you wear while giving birth to your baby should be comfy, thus baggy T-shirt or any oversized front opening cotton pyjama would be a great option. Take baby nappies, towel, clothes and blanket for your baby.
In addition, also keep address book update and insert important numbers in case of emergency. Do not make overdue preparations, conserve energy for labour and take proper rest. Also make sure that your car has enough petrol always in it as well as have some practice run to hospital in order to ensure yourself and your partner that you can reach there on time.
