The mere thought of going to Miami, Florida creates images of palm trees, beautiful water, sandy beaches and the allure of the nightlife. While any of these thoughts is reason enough to visit the busy, trendy city, the one attraction that keeps luring tourists year after year are the beautiful beaches Miami has to offer.
From big to small, vast to narrow, the beaches of Miami have something to offer and appeal to everyone. From romantic getaways for two, to family resorts and full service park facilities, there is not a lot that you cannot find in the great town of Miami, Florida and surrounding areas.
Miami beach itself is divided into different areas of shoreline, including central, north south, south Pointe and south Pointe Park. The south Pointe Park is rich in recreational areas and activities and makes a great family destination. The south beach area is abundant in palm trees and beautiful sunsets.
There are also the Virginia Key Beaches that have a north beach and south beach. Both offer the best in sandy beaches, swimming and recreational activities. From raised platforms to jogging paths, the south beach area will keep you entertained for hours with its beautiful scenery and excellent people watching.
If you are a lover of water sports and swimming for beach activities, the North beach area is abundant for water activities. There are lifeguards on duty, rentals from pontoons to sailboats to just about anything you can imagine to do on the water. There are also beach chair and beach umbrella rentals to sit in the sand and bask in the sun, or plenty of concessions to feed your beach appetite.

The beaches are some of the best in the world, and you will no doubt fall in love with the cool ocean breezes, warm coastal air and the palm trees from the moment you step on shore.
