What is the health issues surrounding tattoo placements?
There are some health issues that come with one having a tattoo placed on their body and some of those risks can be life-threatening. One of these health risks is the possibility of a venereal disease or virus, being entered into the body, using the dirty needles and unsanitary methods of tattoo placements.
Also, there are other problems that come with having tattoos, such as having an infection at the site of the tattoo, having minor and serious skin allergic reactions to the types of dye being used for the tattoo and scarring of the tissue, that surrounds the tattoo.
Even having temporary tattoos can lead to minor or serious skin reactions, since they are also made with the same types of dyes as regular tattoos, even though, a majority of the ingredients in the tattoos are safe and are harmful.
You should see a doctor as soon as possible, if you are having any allergic reactions from the tattoo, if you have another illness that is not related to the tattoo and/or if you notice that the swelling from the tattoo is not healing.
How to treat infected tattoos?
Tattoo infections can be treated by either at a physician’s office or at home, where you can treat the infection by first, stopping the bleeding, to reduce the swelling and pain of the infection by putting a cold pack on the wound, by taking Benadryl to reduce the itching and to get rid of the hives on the infection and by applying a clean bandage with ointment, on top of the wound and change the bandage regularly or when it gets soaked in fluids.
Before you get a tattoo, always remember to check out the person who is going to do the tattoo and make sure he or she uses clean and sanitary instruments. If they do not do either one, find a reputable tattoo artist or go to a reputable tattoo parlor that practices sanitary usage of tattoo instruments and dyes and get your tattoo there. Also you might want to check to see if you are allergic to the dyes being used for the tattooing and if so, take some antihistamines to relieve the pain and itching.
