Body rash refers to irritated patches of skin, which may be inflamed as well. This is usually dismissed as a minor issue and usually the sufferer ignores it and just waits till it disappears of its own accord. If he feels some discomfort, however, the rash can be treated easily with simple home-based cures. In certain instances, though, if the rash persists, it can indicate a serious ailment which may require a person to seek medical intervention.
Rashes can appear anywhere on the body, and the symptoms are mainly dry skin, lesions, itching, cracking, redness, scaling, and sometimes swelling of the skin. These symptoms may be followed by tenderness, joint pains, fever, reddish streaks, tight feeling in your throat, etc., all of which indicate a serious ailment.
Body rash may result from any of a wide variety of causes including the following:
When the body is directly exposed to some types of allergens or irritants like chemicals or foods, etc. Disorders caused by skin ailments including eczema, acne, psoriasis, etc. Infections caused by viruses, bacteria, fungi. Rashes can also appear because of poisonous insect bites. Infections from parasites.
When you expose the body to extremely cold or extremely dry conditions. Sometimes kidney disorders, liver disease, as well as some types of cancer will cause rashes to appear.
Oftentimes rashes not associated with more serious disorders will disappear by themselves even if you don’t treat them. However, if the rashes are accompanied by severe itching and tenderness of the skin, which are symptoms of more serious disorders, you may require treatment through natural or herbal cures. You may use home treatments like the ones discussed below:
1. Use uncooked oatmeal to relieve the itching. Put a cup of oatmeal inside a cotton sock, tie with a rubber band, and make a sponge out of it. Use it to scrub your skin.
2. The juice of the aloe vera plant is also effective with body rashes. It has a soothing effect on the skin. It is not only anti-inflammatory but also anti-bacterial. You can apply it as some sort of sunscreen.
