Strange Ways to Die

Children do get sick but that does not mean anything to them once they are out of it. When they hear about strange diseases they take it for fun, once they are adults they get scared. Some diseases are strange and can offer you strange ways to die.
Flesh-eating bacteria
This is a kind of bacteria that feeds on flesh and makes it die. It can be contracted through minor cuts and bruises, and sometimes during surgery. It is not easily identifiable because it resembles something like a simple infection. But within hours, it can cause serious havoc. It starts with the symptom of pain in the affected part and progresses to the skin turning dark with black puss filled blister. As the bacteria release toxins the patient might go into a shock with a fall in blood pressure.
How to treat it
Surgery will help removes the infected part and should be followed by a high dose of antibiotic. Cases are now very rare. But it is a strange way to die.
Mad cow disease
This is a very popular disease even though only a few people get it once in a long while. Also known as CJD, mad cow disease causes neurological problems, dementia and in the end death. This disease creates tiny holes in the brain of the patient. It takes up to forty years for the disease to be seen in humans. No one knows exactly what causes it.
Is there treatment?
For it to be diagnosed your brain must be removed and dissected. That means you must die.
Nipah virus
This is one of the animal-to-man diseases. It is rare but deadly. Half of the people who get it die. It is named after where it was first discovered in Southeast Asia. It was first detected among people who rear pigs and believe to have been transferred from bats. It takes 4 to 18 days to be detected. It has a flu-like symptom. It finally causes swelling of the brain, disorientation, drowsiness, convulsion and coma.
How it is treated
It is treated with anti-inflammatory drugs and rest. But it seems the body’s immune system fights it naturally.
When you hear of funny diseases don’t laugh it of. They are real.
