Special Effects Makeup

The typical special effects people shoot for when they are putting their make up on include a dramatic Halloween face, dark seductive eyes, and the illusion of wound. People who regularly perform on stage are experts at creating their own special effects makeupSpecial effects makeup for Halloween never gets old. When people want to prepare their face for a night of trick or treating and haunting they have two options. They can choose to buy an expensive make up kit or they can save money and make their very own special effects makeup.
All you need to make the base for your Halloween makeup is some corn starch, some water, some food coloring, and some cold cream. Mix the ingredients together; as soon as they are blended you can smear the ghoulish paste on your freshly washed face. Now all that’s left to do is to use some dark lipstick to paint your mouth and eyebrows.
A Bleeding Wound
When you are a performer the best way to let your audience know how gravely your character is injured is to apply some special effects makeup that looks like an injury. If your character has a nasty cut you will need to mix some light corn syrup and some water, blend the two ingredients until they have the same consistency of blood. Add several drops of red food coloring. Now all that is left to do is to smear the fake blood onto your body,
Sexy Eyes
The special effects make up that is often used to give the impression of sex appeal is the dark smoldering eyes. To create this effect you need to cover your entire eyelid with a shimmery eye shadow that is nude in color.
Now apply some gray or dark brown eye shadow in your eyelids crease, extend this eye shadow all the way down the eyelid to the lash line. Touch up the outside edge of your eyelid with some dark matte eye shadow.
Once your dark eye shadow is in place, dampen the end of a Q-tip and use it to smear the dark shadow along the lash line, extend this line just a hair past the edge of the eye. Add just a touch of shimmering white eye shadow to the inside corner of the eye and under your brow line. Now all that is left to do is to add mascara.
