Setting Your Goals

You know what you want out of your body but trying to get there can be a whole other story. Setting too many goals for yourself at once can cause a problem when you don’t have a plan.

The first step is that you need to write down your goals and explain in detail the steps you are going to take to reach them. Keep copies of this list everywhere that you will see it on a daily basis so that you will have a personal reminder.

We all know that working out by ourselves can be a bit boring. This may give you an excuse to skip a trip or two to the gym. Get a partner that will go to the gym with you. A little competition never hurt anybody and it is a great motivator as well.

Another great idea is to hire a personal trainer. You can get one that will come to your home so you get good use out of all those Christmas gifts that everyone has been buying you. Even though they can be a bit pricey, do some research and you should be able to find one that is affordable.

You also want to make sure that you are keeping track of all your progress. Actually seeing, written on paper that your hard work and efforts have paid off can be a real booster in the motivation department.

Keep in mind that you need to be flexible and take things slowly. Set your goals and meet them one at a time and this will get you much further a lot quicker. And if for some reason something prevents you from making it to the gym for one day, don’t fret. Do a quick workout at home to keep you on track.

Remember, one goal at a time is the best way to get to the end of the road. Stressing yourself out and trying to do too much at once will cause you nothing but heartache and disappointment. Take a day off once is awhile so that you can stay at the top of your game.
