If your hair is fine, tinted or damaged in any way, an acid perm would be a great match for you. For hair that is resistant to curl but is normal, than the alkaline perm is a great match. This is also the typical type of perm for home use. Exothermic perms are wonderful for curls.

All of these types of perms can be used to give you several different types and styles of perms. A body perm is simply that, to give your hair a little pick-me-up. If your hair is short and you have a hard time giving a little lift, a root perm may be just what the doctor ordered.

To get your long hair to appear thicker, a spiral perm will give you long flowing beautiful curls. Spot perms are just as they say. The perm is only applied to certain areas of the hair.
