Hair in the armpits can be quite embarrassing. They can inhibit a desire to wear fashionable clothes like sleeveless shirts etc. Removing the hair under the arms is a relatively easy process and can be done at home with ease.
In today’s fast paced world everybody needs to appear smart and trendy with regards to fashion and looks. One’s ability to look presentable can help them carve a niche in their social circles.
Hence personal grooming has become equally popular with both sexes male and female. Removing hair under the arms is also a part of this grooming, but is limited to the women folk.
In countries with hot climes, where perspiring is unavoidable underarm hair can cause bad odor and prevent people from wearing open clothes to beat the heat. In such places, removing underarm hair becomes a norm than a fashion conscious effort.
To remove hair from the armpit, follow some simple tips;
Waxing is the best and commonly used methods of underarm hair removal. Remember to use a good reputed brand of wax and cotton strips for removing the hair.
Melt the wax and maintain the heat so that it is comfortable to the touch. Before you start, ensure that the area you want to wax, i.e., the underarms are clean and dry.
Dust talcum powder over the area to remove any moisture. Take small quantity of the wax on a wooden spatula or tongue depressor. Spread the wax over the skin in the direction of hair growth so as to cover the whole area.
Place one cotton strip over the wax and press to secure it firmly. Now in one swift movement pull away the cotton strip in the direction against the hair growth. It might be quite painful the first time. Press down the skin preferably with clean cold hands to avoid immediate boils.
After waxing the entire area, splash cold water to soothe the pain. Repeat for the other arm also using a fresh set of cotton strips.
You can also apply ice to stop the rashes. Do not use any soap or cleaning agent for at least 24 hours.
