Rannvijay is now eyeing big screen
New Delhi – The roadie turned VJ Rannvijay Singh Sangha is now facing towards 70 mm screen with his latest venture TOSS. Rannvijay was spotted in a popular reality show of Mtv the Roadies. His attitude and personality has drived girls crazy nationwide.
Even tough there is no plan to leave VJ thing with MTV, Rann vijay said ‘Now that I will be in movies, they will earn me my butter. But MTV would always remain my bread,’
Rannvijay Singh Sangha gained immense popularity when he was crowned the winner of first season of MTV’s hit reality show ‘Roadies’. Eventually he got the opportunity to host the coming series which he did with great ease. He gives the complete acclaim for his success and reputation to Mtv Roadies’, stating: ‘When I was a participant, the show gave me a platform through which people started knowing me. When I started hosting the show, people started coming for autographs and today if people recognize me in the industry, it is all thanks to ‘Roadies’.
Taking about his debut movie toss he said ‘For the role, the filmmakers wanted a charming and good-looking boy. I don’t know to what extent I fulfill those criteria, but I really like the role’.
Besides ‘Toss’, the VJ turned actor who earlier had planned go into Indian army will also be a part of much talked movie ‘Mumbai Cutting… A City Unfolds’. For this movie, 11 prominent Indian directors - Sudhir Mishra, Anurag Kashyap, Rahul Dholakia, Ruchi Narain, Kundan Shah, Revathy, Shashank Ghosh, Jahnu Barua, Manish Jha, Rituparno Ghosh, Ayush Raina - were assigned to make 10-minute shorts about Mumbai.
”Mumbai Cutting’ brings together 10 Indian directors who would interpret Mumbai in their own way and I am a part of one of the interpretations by Shashank,’ he added. HE would also be playing a strong role in upcoming flick directed by Mahesh Manjrekar, Rannvijay would be playing ‘a strong character shown as a cool college hunk’.
