Promotion to move you up

Promotions are the kind of ladders that move people up; but these are treated differently by the employees mainly through three ways. Firstly, there are people content with where they are with no more responsibilities and earning enough for their drinks and girlfriends. Secondly, the idealists are those who believe that it is their work which will speak itself; and they will go up at the right time. Thirdly, the cutthroat climbers are those who do not stop until they are up.
These are the hints for getting promotions and not the prefect methods; because promotions involve many factors such as influence of people, timing, market condition, politics, and many more.
How to move up?
Getting rid of everything that hinders your thought of having promotion is the first step into this direction; it could be a thought of losing quality bar time, fear of new atmosphere, unwillingness for new responsibilities, etc. Remember that going up is what the life is all about. It even rejuvenates you. While staying at one position makes you a boring creature.
Then, how to move up? The best approach should be somewhere between the approaches of idealists and the cutthroat climbers.
Look at for example how one sibling becomes a default voice of the group by bearing the news, making explanations, and caring with responsibilities. Just the same way, as an adult, you need to apply this brotherhood strategy in a grownup environment through not differing much; and you will emerge naturally as a proficient person, even without any declaration. Learn how to present some bad news adequately and effectively to your boss; create that confidence. There are chances that the boss will be impressed if you go to him with important information especially that concerned with his individual duties and interest such as money.
The boss is not likely to forget your jobs performed; but this also needs that the success story is regularly reminded to him. If necessary, then, admit how much extra tax-free money you have hauled in. Therefore, always remain involved in various projects which are active at present. Most of the bosses do not remember what you have done for them so far. They only know what you have done for them most recently.
