Potty Training Girls

Mothers play a vital role in the potty training, which is one of the most important and fundamental aspects in the growing process of a baby, whether it is a boy or girl.
The job is a nasty, miserable and frustrating one. Anyway, there is no escape from this. Hence we will discuss the potty training of a girl now for the hapless mother.
Toilet training of girls:
Once the mother feels that her little angel is mature enough to use the toilet on her own, training has to be started.
After getting out of bed in the morning, the mother has to take the girl to the bathroom. The little girl has to see the mother using the toilet. Then the baby girl also has to be told to use the toilet similar to the mother.
Once she does this successfully, the mother should praise the girl. However, it will take some time before the girl uses the toilet without fuss. Till that time, the girl should not be criticized.
The practice of using diapers may be discontinued and instead the girl may be given cloth undergarments in daytime. The cloth undergarments will not be as comfortable as a diaper if the girl pees into it and also frustrating as time goes on and the girl will become aware of it.
Whenever the girl pees into the under garments, she may be taken to the bathroom and asked to pee into the pot. Also the poop in the under garment may be dispensed in the pot making her realize where it actually has to go.
All these things are to be done in a pleasant way so that the girl knows the importance of peeing in the pot.
At an interval of two hours, she may be taken to the bathroom and asked to pee taking her own time. This process may be repeated throughout the day so that she feels the importance of using the pot.
Finally, before going to sleep in the night, the girl has to use the pot and then put on a regular disposable diaper to avoid urinating in the bed and both the girl and the mother can have a sound sleep.
Also, the small girls pee while taking bath. To avoid this, the girl has to be taken to the pot before bathing and asked to pee. Once she finishes it off, there will be no tendency to pee while bathing.
The above training may be continued till the mother satisfies herself that her little angel has passed the training.
