A family is build upon the foundation of love. If as a father you remember the first time you became father and held your precious bundle of joy, the fingers of the little one curled around yours, you still shudder from the exhilaration that ran through your veins at getting the biggest gift from the universe. The overjoyed feeling was not even offset by a sense of additional responsibility of bringing up a young one in this wide world. The soul connection of a father figure is thus crucial for a child throughout its life.
NEED OF A FATHER FIGURE
Scientific researches have proved that for the overall success of a child later on as an adult, presence of a constant father figure is one of the very important determinants of success. Though the love of mother is unparalleled, the role of father in ingraining a practical balancing behavior in adults remains unchallenged. Recent studies worldwide are unanimous in predicting that the development of child goes downhill if you deprive it from the father for long periods of time. Not only such a child falls back on educational skills, the practical and emotional quotient also lowers. The instability in the behavior and sloppy dealing of life situations has been found to be more marked in the single mother families as compared to the family where the parents were not divorced, the father being actively involved with the day-to-day welfare of the kids.
HOW TO BE AN EXEMPLARY FATHER
In order to make you kids fine adjusted adults, it is important to get involved with them right from the time they arrive. Remember, the sooner our bonding starts with the infant, the better it will trust you. There is a provision of leave for a new father you may utilize or get a fortnight leave sanctioned to help the already stressed out mother taking chances to change diapers while she takes a bath or sleeps. Later months may see you spending quality time, move the pram in the park, make faces at the kid and one day you will fall in love with his first wink at you. As a toddler, you kid will thank you for being a horse and riding you thus learning basic skills already. You are involved in all fun homework and daily projects for the kids thus answering all their queries, developing a sense of good and bad thus inculcating the values of loving discipline and excelling in education.
Thus a father is not less important than a mother in a family. Nowadays, with divorce rates on an increase, the sheer number of single married women with child custody is increasing day by day. But it has been essentially proved now that the social, educational, emotional and psychological skills get more impetus only when there is no divorce and the father is actively involved. So for the sake of the child it has become mandatory for the couple to work on their relationship and give the kid the head start it deserves in life.
