Online love hazards
October 10, 2008
Chatting has become a very common thing for lay man in today’s world. Be it a college going kids or be it working people, there is a fantasy involved with chatting.
There are many reasons for this. Few of them are that, when you are really stressed with your work and you log in the internet just to find someone to comfort you it feels great. For college kids it’s more of fun than anything else.
Whenever you log in you find someone or the other to chat with and they are usually people of different age and sex and probably people whom you may never meet in life time. It feels very comfortable to chat with people on web since it is safe. You need not reveal your true identity nor do you have to let them know your negative aspects.
You can easily fool and get fooled just by stressing on your positive aspects in life. Online relationships tend to move in a faster pace than the relationships that you end up going in person as such. It is very easy to chat about anything on earth, say sex, love, relationship, marriage, problems, happiness etc. The more you share with a person the more comfortable you become with him. This is where the risk stands. Without actually knowing how the opposite person is, if you start developing a soft corner for him, you start finding him more seductive and tend to fall for him.
Cyber Romeos as they are called may be very dangerous. They may pretend to be the best person on earth and may end up being rogues. You may just scan few photos of yours and send it to him and then that may be the end. They may never contact or they may start blackmailing you by misusing your photos. Care must be taken that even while chatting just for fun you don’t end up sending your pictures to the unseen person since that may cause great risks in life.
In spite of this if you genuinely feel that you are in love with a person whom you have not met, press and ask for more and more details about him. Get to know where he works. Enquire about him and his character in his work place. Then arrange for a meeting. Judge him as a person. Then if you still feel comfortable go ahead or just cut off and act wise.
Beware of cyber Romeos; do not give any personal information or photos unless and until you know the person in and out. Know him by meeting him more than once to avoid any risks and problems later in life.
