Oily Skin Care

A person has oily skin if he/she has over-active sebaceous glands. The oily skin results in a shiny face, particularly down the central panel of your nose, forehead, and chin, also known as the T-zone. The pores of an oily skinned person get enlarged and are prone to pimples, blackheads, and acne problems.
As such, oily skin irrespective of age must to given special care to keep the skin pores unclogged, and to prevent the accumulation of dirt. However, oily skin can be cured or controlled by very simple methods.
Oily skin can be determined very easily. If the face feels greasy and has a texture that is very thick and coarse, this is a sign of oily skin. The oily skin often breaks out in spots. Though after a wash looks fine, but by midday it looks shiny and by the evening, it looks sticky.
Controlling Oily Skin
Controlling oily skin prone to pimples requires frequent cleansing. The face should be cleansed at least 3 times a day. Also, using soap that is medicated is ideal for face cleaning. Cleaning the face at night with quality cleansing milk helps.
Women with oily skin should avoid oily food. Also, women with excessive oily skin must have a protein rich diet but should keep in mind to reduce the intake of sugar and salt.
Eating lots of green leafy vegetables and fresh fruits also helps the woman to control oily skin. For a woman with oily skin it is necessary that the foundation and sunscreen they use are water-based, oil free and free of fragrance.
Women with oily skin can control the oiliness in their skin with a little patience however; it may sometimes require medical help. Removal of excess sebum from the skin without drying it is one such method used, as too much removal of sebum may have a negative effect, and the oil glands may start producing more sebum to cover the loss.
Women with oily should avoid food items such as processed food, starch, and sugar. These women need to stick to a diet that is low fat. An ideal diet for a woman with oily skin includes lots of fresh fruits, vegetables, and grains.
As fluid intake is of great importance to maintain a proper skin tone, drinking at least 3 to 4 liters of water, juices, tea in a day is essential. Also the diet should also include adequate amounts of vitamins and minerals; more importantly vitamins A, B complex as well as C.
Women with oily skin can do a lot to control the oil in their skin. They can make a face pack of 1 tsp curd, 1 tsp of tomato juice, 1 tsp of multani mitti, 1 tsp of honey, and a little kapur on the face.
