Never go on a diet again – and still lose weight!

nevergoondietToday’s society is changing. We see food everywhere. There are junk food advertisements at  every corner. Even our children’s favourite foods are always the  most fattening and chemical laden.

It’s no wonder most people out there are looking for a good diet scheme that really works. Many diet schemes will try to have you  eat less. You may even end up starving yourself to try and lose weight. This is not the way to go about it. I have some very good arguments against going on a diet.

Good reasons to never go on a diet again.

Diets do not last. You cannot expect a diet to be a long term solution for you. You may lose some weight for a little while. This is just going to end up coming back to haunt you.

Do you know anyone who has used a crash style diet to actually put weight off, and keep it off? For how long? A year? Ten years? More? I do not think so. If you answered yes, the person probably has some secrets he is  not telling you. He is probably getting good foods from somewhere.

Diet schemes do not work. You may lose a bit of weight, then it will come back. This is terrible for your motivation and self esteem. You will only end up blaming yourself, thinking that you just did not  try hard enough. Thinking that you need to eat even less.

Do not diet; learn how your body works instead.

In today’s society, food is everywhere. It is possible to get any type of rich food we like, whenever we like. We have all kinds of goodies in the fridge and freezer. Our pantries are lined with tasty snacks. This is the reason so many people are fat. They just have too much food!

Your body is a finely tuned machine.

If you are trying to lose weight and making your body suffer, it is  not going to help. If your body is uncomfortable or hurting, it is doing so to tell you to stop.

Your body will let you know when you are doing something damaging. Listen to your body and what it is trying to tell you. Do not work against your body, it is not the enemy. The fatty foods and lack of exercise are the enemy.
