Natural Remedies to Cure Dandruff and Itchy Scalp

Majority of people suffer from common problem of dandruff at least once in a lifetime. And with itchy scalp and snowflakes falling off your skin, it could be really frustrating for you every time you comb or brush your hair when lump or crust falling off your hair.

Despite trying various brands of anti-dandruff shampoo, if still problem persists or reoccurs, then it is a high time that you give natural remedies a shot to cure your stubborn dandruff problem. You would gradually find your dandruff bidding you goodbye leaving your scalp clean and dandruff free.

Moreover, dandruff not only makes you irritable at times but also considered as powerful foe of your hair because it makes your root weak which leads to frequent hair fall.

Try these effective homemade remedies to resolve your dandruff problem.

Lemon with Egg white:

Beat an egg white in a bowl using a blender; now squeeze few drops of lemon juice into it, mix them using a fork or spoon. Apply this mixture on your hair scalp and ensure that you keep it at least for 20-25 minutes before washing it off with mild shampoo.

Beetroot juice:

This remedy has astonishing results in curing dandruff. Grate a reasonable slice of a beetroot and squeeze its juice out in a bowl.  Apply this beetroot juice on your scalp keeping it for at least 25-30 minutes before washing your hair with good quality shampoo.

Fenugreek seeds with camphor:

Buy some fenugreek seeds, which are easily available at most of the supermarkets across the globe. Soak these seeds in the water for four to five hours before grinding them to make a smooth paste; mix one teaspoon powdered camphor in it. Apply this paste on your hair scalp for an hour till it gets partially dried on your scalp. Later, wash your hair thoroughly with a shampoo.

Plain yogurt with coconut oil:

You can consider applying yogurt mixed with coconut water to cure your dandruff. Mix plain yogurt and few drops of coconut oil in a bowl and apply gently on your hair scalp, let it remain on your hair for 15-20 minutes; later wash it off using good quality shampoo.

Castor oil treatment:

Massage your hair with castor oil gently using your weakest finger in a circular motion for 15-20 minutes; now give your hair some steam using a steamer. If you don’t have a steamer, then you can microwave a partially wet good size muslin cloth for 1-2 minutes and cover your hair with this cloth to give steam to your hair.

Though these remedies require reasonable amount of time and patience to carry out the entire process; however, it cures the problem of dandruff to great extent making your hair healthy and clean.
