MRSA ’superbug’ drug on the way

London – British scholars are trying a new drug that they maintain that would clean out the most hazardous strains of superbug MRSA. The group at Brighton based Destiny Pharma is testing the drug that may defend methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus bacteria (MRSA).
Destiny Pharma exposed that XF-73 complex could obliterate 5 most common strains of MRSA in tests.
Dr Bill Love, company’s chief executive told the Independent that if the drug lucid all the trials it would be a “totally fundamental breakthrough”.
“The potential is really quite amazing,” BBC stated Love, as saying
Though, Derek Butler, chairman of MRSA Action commented that more tests are desirable to prove drug competence.
“Bacteria have a habit of being able to get round any treatments we develop,” he added
“I think more tests need to be done on it. We need to be careful in saying we have beaten the resistance problem,” he also said.
He added “anything in the development of cures or treatment for MRSA” and was optimistic the research would prove beneficial.
