The micro braiding style is best left to the professionals. But you add your creativity by selecting your own color and texture. In the United States, most women get braids put in their hair by professional hair stylists. However, those who wear braids on vacation usually get them done by a local woman wandering on the beach asking if anyone wants their hair braided. You may also attempt micro braids on your own hair for a different style.
The micro braids are perhaps the most versatile braiding style in The Gambia today. Any style may be achieved using micro braids and this style of braiding in general takes about 5 to 10 hours to complete. Micro braids are most commonly seen on African American women, but they are also worn by many people (men, women and children) while on vacation in the Bahamas, Jamaica, Mexico, and many other touristy and tropical areas..
Soon after young women were flocking to the salons and braiding shops they begin to experience the drawback to their newfound styles. The braids were causing hair loss and in significant amounts. Micro braids were given a bad rap and stylist, parents, and other women were warning teens and tweens about the dangers of braids. Yet, as a devout braid advocate, braids are not the enemy and when done correctly and maintained may actually cause hair to grow.
With such braids you may achieve all or any of the short or long lovely styles that celebrities wear. Adding human hair in your micros will allow you to curl and style your hair as if it grew on your head. Micro braids have gained in popularity because of the perceived ease in maintenance, as well as, the ability to achieve other styles while hair is in braids.
The problem is most people don’t know how to take care of micro braids and they make the following mistake. They opt to save money in the short term and damage hair over the long run. Make no mistakes about it; micro braids are not cheap. And, this is not a decision that you make, if you are going to cut corners, because you will only hurt yourself.
