Men’s Jeans Latest Trends
June 12, 2008
While, fashion comes and goes making a style statement, jeans are never out of style. A wardrobe staple, they are capable of taking you from casual to dressy and elegant. When it comes to the latest trends in men’s jeans, a slim fit with a higher waist was a big hit on the catwalks. Leaner, with loudly faded jeans loosing ground, embroidery and stitching on jeans is here to stay, with vintage jeans still in vogue.
The look in men’s jeans for some seasons past has been layering or pairing a dressier top with a pair of comfortable, faded jeans. Knits have made a comeback; nothing compliments a sleek pair of jeans than a sweater thrown on top of it. The bad boy look continues to be a prime favourite, so go on and compliment a pair of lean men’s jeans with a leather coat or jacket to attract the girls with your wild, difficult to tame bad boy look.
Mixing styles is a great idea, only so long as you stay well within limits. Dressy with casual looks great, so go on slip on a pair of heavy, durable men’s jeans with a dress shirt, but make sure the weight of the shirt fabric is comparable to that of the jeans. As long as you keep to similar textures, you’ll be fine. For a dressier look, you’d be better off with a lean pair of dark coloured jeans.
For colour, stay with the blues especially dark blue, but you can also try black, grey, tan, and even green, available in every fit imaginable. This way you’ll set yourself apart from the crowd with a shade of denim not everyone has the nerve to wear. For a bad boy look, try a lean, tailored cut black jean with a leather coat, t-shirt hanging halfway out, or a partially unbuttoned dress shirt. Get inspiration from the classic rockers scene; embellish your look with metal chains and studded belts. Or else, for glam rock chic, slip on a pair of men’s jeans embellished with crystals or embroidery. But, don’t forget you may not want to wear them next season.
Whether, you go for a baggy-cut, tailored look, boot cut or straight cut, whatever style you choose in men’s jeans, the look should be confident and comfortable. Keep in mind that styles change rapidly, but some men’s jeans styles are here to stay, and classic jeans are one of them!
