Marital rape is a type of domestic abuse in which any one of the partner faces sexual abuse. A person can face sexual abuse from his own spouse. A rape is termed as a rape no matters whether is it done by a stranger or by your own spouse. Marital rape not only damages the physical state of the Person but it also damages the mental state of the person. Many times during the marital rape the woman is bullied and abused and forced to have sexual contact. The woman who faces marital rape many times stops themselves from reporting as they think that the report will not be granted because it is a part of married sexual life. The rape done by own husband gives mental stress to the women. The other harm of marital rape is that it is done again and again and one cannot question it as it is a part of married life.
Generally it is very hard for women to distinguish between a marital sex and a marital rape. Many women get confused about what actually is taking place on the bed. Many women find it hard to accept the fact they are actually raped by a man with whom they meet and live with on daily basis. Marital rape is said when a women is forced to indulge in sexual play or she is forced to make sexual contacts. Many times women are not comfortable in having a sexual contact or are not in a physical state to indulge in such activities but sill she is forced to make sexual contacts and that is marital rape all about.
Marital rape can be done in several forms and it is usually a case of sexual and physical abuse. Marital rape is an illegal act in which the spouse forces his partner to make sexual contacts even if the wife is not interested to indulge in the sexual play. Generally in a marital rape the spouse catches or holds his partner in such a position that she cannot move or change her position.
