What many ladies don’t realize is that one cannot wear the same makeup style for ethnic when dressed in western attire. While, one can get away with dark smouldering, Kohl lined eyes, thick eyeliner that sweeps out of the corners of the eyes and dark coloured lipsticks for ethnic outfits. However, western attire requires a more subdues, subtle makeup style. It should be toned down and natural looking, otherwise your makeup will only end up looking garish and over-done.
The perfect makeup to match your western outfit should be kept natural for a classic, understated and easy to achieve look. Natural looking makeup can doesn’t have to be boring. Perk it up with dramatic eyes or a bright coloured gloss or lipstick that is great option for both day and night.
Begin by cleansing the face and moisturising it with an oil free moisturiser. Getting the look right starts with a great base. Next, apply concealer to hide under-eye circles and blemishes, if any. Then dab white shimmer cream illuminator or eye pencil to the inner corner of the eye and blend accordingly. Line the upper eye from the outside corner to just over half way with black liquid eyeliner and line the lower eye from the outside corner to the inside corner with a soft black or brown pencil or powder eyeliner. A couple of coats of mascara to the lashes and your eyes are all done. Next, fill in the eyebrows with sure, deft strokes with a Kohl pencil.
Apply a bronzer or a warm toned blush to the cheeks and blend in well for a natural look. You can also dab bronzer to the bridge of your nose to highlight your face.
Set your makeup by sweeping face-illuminating powder with the help of a large power brush. Brush off any excess and finish of your makeup for western attire with a nude or bright coloured lip-gloss. If, you are going in for lipstick, choose a warm red lipstick, line and then fill in lips with a lip brush.
