Love at Work Place: Good or Bad

These days many companies have rules unwelcoming relationships between co-workers. Affairs mostly start at the office because people spend most of the time together, so friendships and relationships just happen.
It’s better to think about the consequences before starting a relation at the office. Here are some points that need consideration before getting into a relation at the workplace.
Advantages: The advantage of romance someone at the office is you already know them well compared to the person you meet occasionally at a café because that might just be a physical attraction.
You get to see your date more often and the person is normal and does not put up a false face. When you work together, they get to know about each other’s likes and dislikes, their success and weaknesses.
One better thing is that you get to spend a lot of time with each other. Seeing each other regularly helps to overcome the nervousness that is there at the beginning of the relationship. And the chance of having a strong relation is high if you are attracted to the person even after seeing them day in and day out.
Occasionally, you may have a problem at work; normally people will not want to interfere. But if you were dating, that person would help you out. Like they can stay back late and help you.
Disadvantages: However, the drawbacks are co-workers will gossip about you. It is good to spend a lot of time together but sometimes it can become too much as everyone needs a break. This pressure might create a problem in the relationship.
Lastly, it is a problem when there is a break up. When the relation comes to an end it can be a major problem, as the climate will be cold and tensed, more so if the break up is very unpleasant. You might find it difficult and sometimes nearly impossible to go to office after that and you may feel like quitting the job and finding a new job. This will cause problems in your career.
So it is better if you don’t have a romantic relationship with your co-workers.
