Lose Your Wrinkles To Look Younger

As one ages, the skin dries out as wrinkles and age spots begin to make an unwelcome appearance. But, recent advances in skin care research have come up with many anti-aging options, breakthroughs that no longer mean healthy skin is only for the young. One no longer has to resort to tricks like thick foundations, dim lighting etc. to hide signs of aging. One can now remove wrinkles and reverse the sign of aging with effective anti-aging treatments and formulations that not only reduce and eliminate them, but give you healthy skin that is fresh and radiant.

To begin with, for younger skin one has to minimize the effect of sunlight by limiting our exposure to it. Exercising regularly and eating a healthy, balanced diet are also critical keys to successful anti-aging. Not only does exercise help to lower stress, it also increases our energy level that helps the body to maintain a proper homeostatic balance. Secondly, a proper diet means staying away from refined and processed foods and sugars. Rather, we should eat whole grains, fish, poultry, fruits and vegetables, especially those rich in Vitamin C Ester and Vitamin E.

Apart from a healthy diet and exercise, wrinkle removing and aging signs can be taken care of with moisturizers or topical creams with retinoic acid, alpha and beta hydroxyl acids, and plenty of antioxidants. These help to reduce fine lines and plump up the skin, along with petrolatum, lanolin, and hyaluronic acid, which are excellent for dry skin. Finally, regular skin exfoliation and micro-dermabrasion are also very useful in removing deadened skin cells, which serves to expose the healthy skin beneath.

The above may work for fine, surface lines, but what about deep furrows and sagging skin? For deeper creases, one may have to resort to more aggressive techniques, such as cosmetic surgery, chemical peels, botox injections, etc. Or one can minimize the appearance of wrinkles with topical medicines and creams such as, Vitamin A acid also known as Retinol. Regular face massages with special creams also help reverse the signs of aging to some extent.

However, you can avoid wrinkles by taking preventative care to avoid the heartache and agony of premature wrinkles and aging skin.
