Research has shown that women who are relaxed or can learn to relax have an increased conception rate. With that knowledge, if you are a woman that wants to get pregnant you should strive to cut the level of stress and relax to boost your fertility. Cutting stress, a healthy diet, and adequate exercise can give you a fertility boost by as much as 80%.
Fertility Foods
Both partners should eat plenty of nuts and fish, which are high in zinc. Zinc aids fertility. Try to eat organic whenever possible. The substances found in pesticides can affect fertility. Try to stay away from low fat or diet foods. These tend to contain artificial ingredients or chemicals that give you no nutritional benefits and that may even be harmful.
Eat a good mixture or carbs and proteins and supplement with plenty of fruits and veggies.
Go on Vacation
When you go away on a vacation or holiday you are much less stressed out. It is no wonder that many couples conceive when they are away. In women, stress will increase prolactin, a hormone that can prevent an egg from maturing properly. For men, increased prolactin will affect the swimming ability of the sperm.
Whenever you have time off together, make the most of it. Engage in activities that you both enjoy. Indulge in long, lazy lunches. Have a romantic evening out, maybe a moonlit stroll on the beach. The idea is to relax and have fun together.
Eliminate alcohol consumption. Studies show that couples who give up alcohol at least four months before trying to conceive will tend to get pregnant sooner. For women, drinking can disrupt her hormonal balance. For men it can hinder the production of sperm.
Quit Smoking
Your plan may be to quit smoking once you conceive, but smoking cigarettes may hinder your success with conceiving. You are twice as likely to experience fertility problems if you are a smoker. Men should also be encouraged to quit. The sperm count is lower in smokers. Smokers have an increased amount of low quality sperm, which cannot swim well.
Keep Them Cool
Avoid overheating of the testes. Wear loose fitting cotton boxers or briefs. Avoid hot baths.
Keep Sex Fun
It may do you a world of good to try to take the pressure off yourself regarding sex. Perhaps worrying less about perfect timing and just trying to enjoy your time together will be the magic you are looking for. Relax to boost your fertility! t
