Learn Some Things from Men
May 12, 2009
It’s no secret that men and women have evolved differently. Men most often try to use logic to solve their problems while most women follow their hearts to find solutions. A man might criticize others for the problems he encounters while a woman might blame herself.
Taking a few tips from the masculine perspective might help ease a woman’s life.
Criticism is a part of life. Women sometimes fear that criticizing someone else will ruin a relationship. Men can dish out comments pretty easily, while women sometimes hold back, attempting to remain well-liked.
Women can sometimes focus too much on the potential hurt caused by their words. Don’t be afraid to say what you think. It just might lead to positive change.
Remain confident in yourself and express your ideas in a clear and concise manner. Don’t worry about the possibility of others judging you. Trust yourself and acknowledge your achievements realistically. Don’t be afraid to accept a reward, or even ask for one if you feel you deserve it. Most men can easily ask for a raise at work, so take charge and go after the results you want.
Keep track of your diet. Men are less likely to eat away anxiety or stressful emotions. But don’t be too hard on yourself for eating either. You won’t hear a man admonish himself for polishing off a piece of pizza or a doughnut.
Don’t berate yourself if you happen to eat too many calories. Simply accept that it has happened and remember to keep a more watchful eye on yourself next time. Eat when you’re hungry and stop when you’re full; leave emotions out of the diet.
Split up the housework without excessively worrying over it. Some women tend to believe that housekeeping is their personal domain, even if they have a full-time career to deal with, too. Problems can quickly multiply if you’re exhausted from working all day and then try to handle all the housecleaning by yourself.
You don’t have to drive yourself insane taking care of the house. Other people live there, too, so you’re within your rights to divide the work. You can even make it a family activity and get everyone to do a little cleaning together and it won’t seem like such a chore.
Take a little time for yourself every day. Take a few moments and indulge in something you enjoy, asking another member of the family to work on the dirty kitchen for once.
