Leaders Are Made-Not Born

They say leaders are born and not made. However, I don’t agree with the statement. I believe if you want then nothing is impossible on this earth. Yes, I bet you can be a leader with all your effort. Leaders are born like any other person. However, they become leaders with their own effort. Following are few tips, which can help you in your endeavor to acquire all those leadership qualities.
The first and foremost thing required to be a leader is to have passion for it. This passion would pave ways for you and make you improve those skills to be a leader. Don’t mistake that achieving leadership qualities means achieving money and status. Rather, it includes also about managing and leading teams of people.
As, leadership is all about taking other people with you, you have to be versatile. For that you have to enjoy working with people and know how to generate productivity out of them. Before you start working out on it, why don’t you read a good book on leadership? If you had read it one year back then it’s time to review it.
When, you are working with a team of people, tension, differences of opinion and other sorts of problems are inevitable to come on your way. Accept these facts and try to show coolness and composure in such kind of situation. And such kind of behavior does not come to anyone in one day or when they want it. It requires you to ingrain this attitude in your day to day work so that it will naturally be a part of your persona after a certain period of time.
Next important step is to groom yourself, as a good communicator. You have to communicate with people in a balanced way even when you are not in a mood or intending to do so. Just, remember that you are always in the spotlight, even when you are off the duty.
To have strategies is crucial. You must know what your next strategy is. Otherwise, how you could motivate others to move in that direction? Achieving the goal always demands a positive environment. Certain level of stress is alright, but making the work environment a fun place is equally important. Welcome every new idea and provide ample space to your people to blossom.
