Your daughter is growing up and so are her fantasies. Every little girl dreams of a fairly land where she is the Princess. She definitely is your real princess and you can make her feel so all the time by reinventing her room with a princess theme. Whether you make it as Cinderella princess or Barbie princess, there are certain elements that will remain same in order to give the room that royal look.

For a fairy-princess room, you can choose the colors likes of pink or purple, which are quite girly and cute yet royal colors. For the walls you can also use brick wall papers with towered tops giving it a castle look. Most intricate and decorative wall papers are available in the market theses days. You can also use fake windows with beautiful cartoonized views painted on them. Also, you can use different wallpapers for different walls; wallpaper with castle-look on one wall and garden or a ball-room scene on the other, even better would be a knight in his armor painted on the wall or may be statue of him placed in one corner.

For the furniture, the dressing table can be big and decorative with an oval shaped mirror. For a prettier look, you can have it made on order in white color for the rich look or have it in antique wood though this would go with the royalty of the castle theme but at the same time it will not be very girly or might not be like by the kid, for that a white or pink one would be better. Also the bed should be higher than the normal one. If it is a double bed then it is fine, but if you intend to have a single bed, then make it a bit bigger than the usual single bed size. You can use a bed cover in satin and decorated with laces and ribbons. Also you can add oversized heart shaped cushions. Also you can give the bed the canopy look by draping a cloth over and around the bed.  The bed sheets and pillow covers can be printed with Barbie or any of your daughter’s favorite cartoon character.

For accessories of the room, you can cabinets matching with the dressing table and detailed and big lampshades. If the space of the room allows and if you think it will suit the size of the room, then you can hang a chandelier too. For curtains, use velvet or stain as they drape nicely and look quite classy and will go with the princess theme. Also you can use throw rugs in fur to give your daughter a perfect princess bedroom.
