As we all know that marriages are one of the most auspicious occasions in every individual’s life. Indian wedding games are well known all over the world because of their traditions and rituals. There are several traditions which can also be called as Indian wedding games. These traditions are done for having some fun and enjoyment at the time of marriage. There are several traditions which can b considered as Indian wedding games but in this article we will discuss just the two of them. Marriage is a stepping stone towards a new relationship in which two person take an oath that they will love, care and support each other in each and every condition. These Indian wedding traditions or games are generally done to bring close both the bride and the groom.
The most common Indian wedding games are:-
The first tradition or game is very interesting. In this game the shoes of the groom are being hidden by the sisters of bride. Actually, the bride and groom have to remove their footwear before entering the mandap. At this time the sisters of the bride take away the shoes of the groom and hide them in a safe place. After the ceremony gets over they demand a handsome amount of money from the groom to return the shoes back. This process is very interesting and creates an atmosphere of enjoyment and fun. The groom gets his shoes back only after giving some amount of money to all the sisters involved in the game. This game becomes more interesting when the groom carries another pair of shoes thus failing the trick of bride’s sisters.
The other Indian wedding game is also interesting and it is all about finding a ring in a colorful water pot. In this game the bride and the groom are made to sit close to each other. After that a pot of colorful water is placed in front of them in which they put a ring. The ring is allowed to settle in the pot and the water is stirred for few minutes. After then the bride and the groom are told to find the ring quickly and it is said that whoever finds the ring first will always dominate in the married life.
