Improve your diet when you stop smoking
When you quit smoking, there will be many challenges you will face to maintain your body healthy. Gaining weight by over eating after you quit smoking has to be controlled by balanced eating and improvement in diet. Here are some tips to control your diet after you stop the habit of smoking.
Have cup of tea. When you will stop smoking, your mind will look for the alternative ways of relaxing the stress developed in your mind. You can have cup of tea to solve this problem. There are many flavoured teas available in the market. The herbal tea also help in cleansing the inner system and acts as best antioxidant there by cleaning the toxins in the body.
Drink more water. Water helps in flushing out the excess toxins stored in your body by smoking. You can drink ample amount of water through out the day and thereby avoiding eating unhealthy snacks. Keep your body hydrated and you can feel the effect of it within days.
Eat well balanced food. When you are treating your body with tasty food, you will need to draw line between the healthy food and the unhealthy fat rich foods. When you stop quitting, your body will be working hard to get rid of the excess toxins and will need more energy for it. At this time, you will need to supply quality fuel for your body. You can have foods which are rich in fibre, proteins and low empty calories.
Have healthy snacks. Fresh vegetables can be taken in bites to fill your snacking idea. Keep stock of fresh vegetables and fruits which are rich in fibre. Fruits like applies, melons, berries and other seasonal fruits can satisfy your sweet tooth and also can give a healthy filling for your stomach. Reduce the intake of fat rich foods like fudges, frozen foods etc…
