Toga parties are very popular these days, especially for adults and college students. Make your next party a toga party and enjoy the breezy outfits. Buy some good wine and grapes and get ready to do as the Romans do. Toga is the name given to a garment that was very popular in the time of Ancient Rome.
It was basically a sash, of somewhere around 6 meters length, which was wrapped around the body. The dress was customarily made of wool and had a linen tunic worn beneath it. Today, toga has become a costume for fancy dress competitions, theme parties, and the like. An ancient Roman or Greek feel would be good for this party. Try setting cushions about the floor instead of chairs. If you are using chairs give them a lavish feel by draping them in silk or decorating them with vines
Decorate the house with fake vines using twisted green crepe paper. Candles would also be ideal for the night.
How to wear a toga – MALE
Around the waist at least once then pin it at that point and throw the rest over one shoulder. Around the back and pin it again at the waist. Wear shorts underneath and wear sandals, thongs
How to wear a toga – FEMALE
Add to the basic wrap design small horizontal bands (leather, chain) accentuating waist and bust line.
