How To Walk In Stilettos

Why do women wear high heels or stilettos when they find it so difficult to walk in them. The answer is simple, extreme high heels are an object of sexual desire. Not only do they change the posture of the wearer, they also lengthen the legs and emphasise the calf muscles. Buckles and straps that tie the foot into the shoe may imply sexual bondage for some, while high heels mimic pointed feet during orgasm.

There is nothing better than wearing a pair of high skinny heels to make one feel like a sex goddess. The legs seem longer, even the body looks leaner. But, if you don’t know how to walk in, you could end up tottering like a newborn giraffe! However, just master the following steps and you will be strutting around like a professional model on the runway.

1. Pick the right pair of heels. Stilettos have higher heels than most other high heeled shoes. Buy stilettos after you have got your foot measured for right size and fit. You wouldn’t want your sexy pair of new heels to be too tight, too big, too wide or too narrow. Improperly fitting stiletto can cause painful blisters, even as you try to look as if you are walking down the catwalk. The secret behind walking in stilettos as though you were a professional, lies in buying a pair that fits well.

2. That is not all to walking in stilettos. You must also strengthen your calves and ankles by exercising them. Begin by holding on to a railing, while balancing on the edge of a stair. Raise your toes and then back down. This is all for a good cause. Remember you need strong legs and ankles to walk easily in stilettos.

3. Get used to high heels by adjusting your body so that you feel comfortable and balanced.

4. Practice walking in stilettos across different types of floors, such as carpet or hardwood. Walk with your back straight, toe-to-heel i.e. put pressure on the toes first, then the heel before taking the next step. This way you avoid putting all your weight on that skinny little heel.

5. Remember to take long strides.

6. Practice, practice, practice. Walking in stilettos is not easy and requires lots of practice and training, just like ballet dances need to practice hard to be able to dance en pointe, which is not very different from walking in stilettos.
